Dream Closets

Ever want a closet large enough to sleep in? I have. There are so many great closets in the world. I think a closet should:

Be large enough to move around
Be very well organized
Have a place for everything
Be a fit for your design style

I have seen closets that:

Have a washer and dryer right in them
Are bigger than the bedroom
Have a "His Side" and "Her Side"

Here are photos of some closets I like.

  1. I do dream of having an awesome closet. But I don't like them too big. It sort of makes me feel like I have to buy more stuff just to fill them.

  2. Luhi bought me my first doorknob when he was in NYC recently. He has always said he's going to have a closet with rows of doorknobs for me to hang my clothes on. ;-)

  3. Thanks for your comment Mindy. I agree with your big closet theory. Nature abhors a vacuum.

My dream closet (if I ever get to have it someday) will have limits. There will only be so many spots available. There will be a drawer with only so may slots for ties. Another drawer with only so many slots for socks, etc. There will be a rack with so many shoe holders. instead of the normal hangers, I want the type in hotels where there is no hook, just the straight part that locks into a hole on the rod. That way I can limit the number of shirts, pants etc. If there are limited spots, then there has to be a rule. My rule will be, in order to buy more I have to get rid of something to make room for the new.

A side benefit would be a very neat closet, as everything would have a place.

  4. Using my login, huh babe. That's ok. Glad I got you that door knob at Old Good Things. Let's make a goal of getting a new door knob there, every time we go to NYC and once we have enough, make plans to build a fantastic closet.
